Gluten Free Skin Care and Supplements

Did you know that gluten is not only in our food but it's also in cosmetics, lotions, soaps etc and even in vitamins and supplements?  People will tell you that part doesn't matter but I can tell you from experience that it does.  This may not be an issue if you are gluten intolerant but if you are celiac you should probably take this seriously.  Companies are getting better and better about labeling their products gluten free.  If you are not sure you can always call the company and ask.  If they aren't sure then I would stay away from it.  Here are a few items that I have found to be gluten free and they are wonderful products!

Mineral Fusion has a wonderful line of cosmetics and lotions.  I use their face lotion, make-up and remover, and their SPF lotions.  Their products are paraben free, gluten free, talc free, no artificial fragrance and hypo-allergenic.

I use Desert Essence body lotions.  They are very smooth, not goopy or sticky and smell wonderful.  They also have a line of shampoos and conditioners among many other products.

Vitamin Code uses all natural, raw ingredients in their vitamins.  The are gluten free and vegetarian too.  I use their prenatal vitamins even though I'm done having kids because they help my nails (which used to split/peel) and my hair.
